HBUS Modules
Gallagher HBUS modules support the connectivity of high-speed HBUS devices, including readers, intercoms, and fence controllers. All HBUS devices use the HBUS protocol, which runs at up to 1Mb/s, substantially faster than most other RS-485-based communications protocols. This rapid communication speed improves device response times.
Readers send access request information to a Gallagher controller, where decisions are made to grant or deny access. Controllers also manage alarms and other system aspects. All data communications between a Gallagher access control and connected devices are encrypted using industry-leading security methods. They are also backed up using Distributed Intelligence technology, ensuring that the information is available even during a network communication failure.
Gallagher's bidirectional Microsoft Active Directory cardholder synchronization capability replicates changes to cardholder records within Active Directory to the Command Centre. This can include adding, removing, and modifying cards and associated permissions. A graphical user interface for operators is provided.

Command Centre
Control consoles for TOCs & other critical security rooms require ergonomic technical furniture and a reliable server to support advanced computer systems. Gallagher's command center solutions are designed for 24/7 capabilities and feature various connectivity options for integration with other business systems.
Integrated with building management systems, the Command Centre reduces energy consumption and supports operational efficiencies. Integration with resource booking systems identifies when rooms are not in use and allows the system to turn off lights, air conditioning, and heating. The command center also triggers alarms and events when key cabinets are open.
With our integration with Gallagher access control, cardholder records are regularly synchronized between the systems, making the Command Centre the "source of truth" for all people's records and access rights. Command Centre Web enables after-hours requests to be actioned from any internet-connected device. Secure OSDP communication between the server and controllers provides best-practice cybersecurity. Integrations
Unify disparate systems under one software platform to simplify administration and reduce risk. Reliable door, zone, and turnstile status reporting removes the need for manual inspections, while integration with imaging systems links visual records to Gallagher alarms and events.
Integration with Envoy automates the process of registering visitors and granting them access. Badge swipes are matched with the appropriate access group and displayed on the visitor screen, reducing administrative work. Staff are enrolled with their Gallagher access credentials to the Envoy system, eliminating the need for individual badges to be managed separately.
The Rapid and Gallagher integration programmatically combines Rapid's compliance checking processes with Gallagher access control to allow only compliant workers to gain entry onsite. Depending on the setting, this can check against either a worker's Rapid Induct trainee requirements or their Contractor Company's compliance status. The integration also supports a range of automated actions to respond to specific system events. These include triggering an imaging system camera to record or playback stored video footage and sending an alarm notification to the camera in response to a Gallagher event (e.g., motion or alarm).
Cloud-based solutions
Gallagher provides cloud-based solutions with various systems and hardware to create a single operating platform that manages total site security. Integrated Gallagher access control helps to minimize data duplication and error while increasing efficiencies and providing a better user experience.
When a person waves an access card or mobile credential over a reader, the system communicates with the cloud to verify that the credentials are valid. If the user has permission to enter, a signal is sent from the controller to the door lock, instructing it to open.
